Our History

We have been in business since 1973 and we are proud to be part of the communities we work in and thank our great customers having used our services enough to keep us around. Some of our customers have been with us since day one! We truly want to thank them for their commitment to us as we have always attempted to fulfill our commitment to them.

Since our opening day, we have attempted to give the best service and work available in our field. We have always been there to take care of any problems that may arise and we now make a one year follow up inspection on all our larger jobs. This inspection attempts to find anything which may be in need of repair or adjustment, even if the customer does not see them. Since this is a family operation, we would expect all future generations to continue the high standards we have always kept for years.

We started using pressure treated wood when it had to be treated for us over in Philadelphia and now has become a stock item at our suppliers. We have always used fully six-sided primed pine for trim and still use it on applications for exterior trim. Now that has evolved to Azek trim, a PVC material, which is a rot-proof paintable product for wet and problem areas.

We have a full woodworking shop to make cabinets, shelving, custom moldings and even full custom kitchens. We have the professionals with the capability to tackle the most difficult or sometimes said to be impossible jobs.

We have built additions from closet size to full house size. We do wood repairs from the smallest job to full house renovations. We do bathrooms, kitchens, decks, windows and doors. We also offer handyman services so you can have a professional take care of it. The jobs others say cannot be done, we probably can do! If we don’t do it for some reason, we will find someone to do it for you! We also handle all kinds of roofing work.

When we started as a one man company in the early 70’s, we charged $5.00 per man hour! My how things have changed! We have now seen asphalt products go up by seven times, wood products by four to five times along with insurance, labor and vehicle cost. Through all this we have attempted to learn and continue tried and true methods of completing all our work in a fashion to last years for you to use.

I will certainly be there to assist you with any kind of job the company can help you with and will attempt to make each one a perfect job.

Larry C. Tait, C.R.

How We Operate

Initial Contact

If your call is made during our business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm) it will be answered and handled in a professional manner. If you call after hours, your call will be returned the next business day. A member of our team will call and schedule an appointment with you. At this meeting we will discuss your ideas, take measurements and photograph the work area. You can expect our feedback on your ideas to best suit your budget and accomplish your goal within.

From this point on we will remain in contact, building your ideas into a proposal for our next meeting. If you decide to move forward, we take a deposit to reserve your start date.

Throughout your entire project, you will have the same project manager. Our project manager ensures your project stays on schedule and handles any of your questions along the way.

Once your project is complete, we will have a walk-through to ensure all work meets our high standards. We will also conduct a one year inspection of this work to ensure all is still well. We stand behind all of our new work for five years, after which time all manufacturer’s warranties will remain.

Taitco/Tait Roofing, Inc. has been in business since 1973. We stand behind all of our new work for five years. There is no reason to worry about having any warranty issues. We have a stellar reputation for customer service. If you should have issues beyond our five year warranty, continue to feel free to contact us.

He was friendly, throrough, honest and a great asset to the company. I have highly recommended him to friends and neighbors when in need.
